Working K-9s serve alongside law enforcement officers and take on important duties that help protect our communities. This is a cause we strongly believe in, and we would like to help provide a local K-9 with the protection needed while on duty.
Our goal is to raise $1,500 for a ballistic protective vest for a K-9. Every contribution can help us move closer to providing this important protective equipment for a working dog.
Supporting a K-9 in Our Local Community
We would especially like this fundraiser to benefit a local K-9 serving with the Santa Maria Police Department or the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
These working dogs serve alongside their handlers and play an important role in local law enforcement. Supporting a protective vest is one way we hope to give back and help protect a K-9 while carrying out its duties.
Once a local K-9 is selected for the fundraiser, we can share more information about the dog and the fundraising effort here.
A Cause We Already Support
Our decision to start this fundraiser was inspired by Spike’s K-9 Fund, a charity we already support through a monthly donation.
We believe in the work this organization does for working K-9s, and supporting these dogs is a cause that means a great deal to us. Creating a fundraiser through our website gives us another opportunity to help while inviting others in the community to support the cause as well.

If a Local K-9 Cannot Be Selected
Our first choice is to support a K-9 serving locally with the Santa Maria Police Department or the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
If a suitable local K-9 cannot be selected, we would also consider raising funds for Gonzo. He has a special meaning to us because he reminds us of a beloved dog from our past, which gives us a personal connection to supporting him.
Whichever K-9 ultimately receives the support, our purpose remains the same: to help provide protective equipment for a working dog serving alongside law enforcement.
